"He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame." -Prov.10:5
At first when reading this I thought "Nice poetry. You know, I'm not going to be a gatherer... I live in the city!" Then I really thought about it. What does this really mean? Right now in my life, being young, I don't have all that many responsibilities. It's the summer season in my life. I can be learning many things and increasing in wisdom instead of wasting my time on meaningless entertainment so common for people my age. When I get to the winter season in my life, will I have harvested? Or will I have "slept it away"?
